ANNUAL RECERTIFICATION
2026 RECERTIFICATION FOR CURRENT REFEREES WILL BE OPEN AROUND SEPTEMBER 1, 2025
US Soccer announces new classifications for referees: Referee, Regional, National and Professional
All U.S. Soccer Referees require annual recertification, including: online modules, online testing and Safesport refresher.
Additionally, Regional Referees require an annual fitness test and on-field assessments.
National and Professional Referees recertify directly with U.S. Soccer.
To complete recertification:
- Log into your EPSARC account*
- Register for a Recertification Clinic
- Referees (including Emeritus)
- Recertification clinic – Online lessons only
- Regional Referees
- Advanced clinic – online lessons and in-person attendance
- Fitness Test – as appropriate
- Assignors, Instructors, Assessors
- Referees (including Emeritus)
- Complete Pre-Clinic items:
- Online modules
- Online test
- Current background clearances
- Must be completed every 5 years
- NOTE: In the event that you are updating your RMO Fingerprint Evaluation, you must use only code 1KG6XN
- SafeSport training
- Must be refreshed every year
- Badges will be mailed from a 3rd party vendor upon completion ASAP.- DO NOT CALL THE OFFICE ABOUT THE ISSUANCE OF YOUR BADGE! OSI IS A THIRD PARTY VENDOR AND YOUR UPDATED BADGE WILL ARRIVE EVENTUALLY.
*PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT PAYMENT MUST BE MADE IN ADVANCE OF THE NEXT STEPS! ADDITIONALLY, AS PROCESSING REQUIREMENTS HAVE CHANGED AS OF 7/1/2025, REFUNDS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. PAYMENT MUST BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD THROUGH THE OMS SYSTEM.
